Ed Note: This is a guest post by Kitty Calhoun! I did a review for the We Vibe three years ago when it only came in purple - high time for an update featuring the We Vibe II!

The first time I heard about the We Vibe II I had to have it. I’ve always been a tough cookie to finish off in bed. I’ve more or less accepted that at this point, but the idea that I might be able to buy a toy that would bring me to orgasm during sex was pretty alluring.

The We Vibe II is a little C-shaped toy that fits inside a woman to hit her G-spot, while the other end reaches up and around to provide clitoral stimulation.

The We Vibe is a classy sex toy, made out of phthalate-free, 100% medical-grade platinum silicone, nothing like the cheap little buzzers you might find at a novelty store. It also means it’s a bit expensive, advertised at $99.99 on the website.

My partner Chompo and I don’t make much fuss for Valentine’s Day, but of course a lot of sex toys go on sale for the big day. I was finally able to make my much anticipated purchase.

It has to charge for 24 hours before you first use it. Once it was charged and ready to go I studied it and its different settings for a little while. The first thing you notice is how cute it is, with its little C-shape and perfect teal color. I wanted to carry it around and play with it my hand all day. The arm that goes inside the vagina has slightly larger ribs on it than the side that lays on the clitoris.

When I turned it on, I realized that the vibrations were not going to be half as intense as my Hitachi Magic Wand. It is a very polite and quiet little vibe, I think I could wear it around all of Chicago and no one would notice the sound.

The vibrations settings on the We Vibe II are very novel too. There are settings that build in intensity and then decline. There are a couple that provide very quick intense pulses. There is one that seems to me to be doing the cha-cha; 1-2, 1-2-3.

I started it on the lowest setting, playing with it on my own one afternoon. Instantly the lowest setting didn’t do much for me. I put it on the higher setting and found that more suitable, though I wasn’t sure it was going to be enough to bring me to orgasm. I relaxed and played around, taking my time. I used it the way the packaging recommends, with the ribbed part inside of me and the larger flatter part out on my clitoris.

After about ten minutes I switched so that the larger ribs could stimulate my clit, and I could tell that even though it might still take some time, I would be able to come that way, and I did. It was a nice polite orgasm, not quite like the savage exhausting ones I have with my Hitachi. That was a nice change of pace.

I was very excited to try it out with Chompo to see if we could use that internal arm to hit my G-spot during sex.  It was fun to play with together. Chompo rubbed it against my clitoris and watched me play with it for a bit to get comfortable with it. Then he put his weight on me and slipped inside with the We buzzing away inside as well. It was a pretty comfortable fit, and it felt nice to be stimulated clitoraly during sex, but I was still pretty sure I wasn’t going to be able to orgasm. We played for a long time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The We didn’t slip out the way I thought it might. It stayed in place pretty well, in missionary or from behind.  After awhile I decided I wanted to finish Chompo, and then finish myself. After sucking Chompo off I lay back and put my hand flat on the head of the We and rubbed it really hard on my clit. It made me think of when a guy puts his hand on the back of a girl’s head and starts forcing her head during blow jobs, and that felt really cool and powerful.

Even still, with all the rising tension and excitement from Chompo, the level of intensity had gotten too high and I knew my little We wasn’t going to be able to finish the job. I pulled out my Hitachi and came very quickly.

I really like the We Vibe II. I love having a sex toy we can use together during sex. I also like having a more subtle, gentle toy. It’s lovely to have different ranges of vibrations, vibration modes, and sizes.

This would be a perfect vibe for someone’s first sex toy. It’s very discreet and unintimidating. It would also be great for a more sensitive gal than myself, who would like some options on her toys with a more gentle setting and multiple speed options.

If you like getting off at work, I think you could totally throw this little guy in your bag, tuck him in place in the bathroom, then sit at your chair and be pleasantly stimulated all day and co-workers would be none the wiser.

Who knows, maybe after we play with it some more I will have an orgasm during sex, and I’ll definitely let you know. Either way, I really love my We Vibe, and highly recommend it!
